McMaster Launches DNA Decoded MOOC – taught by our very own Felicia Vulcu!

You already know that DNA is in everything from our bodies, to crime scene investigations, to the food we buy at the grocery store – but do you really know how it works?
We are delighted to introduce DNA Decoded – McMaster University’s latest massive open online course through Coursera, the world’s biggest provider. This 4-week course will take you through a unique and engaging learning experience that explains the role of DNA in GMO’s, ancestry, and forensics giving you a deep understanding of how scientists work with and manipulate the genetic code.
DNA Decoded is taught by two McMaster science enthusiasts, Dr.Felicia Vulcu and Dr.Caitlin Mullarkey, who have translated a complex subject into engaging course materials, fun videos, and a hands-on murder mystery lab project!
