What can Biomedical Discovery and Commercialization Offer You?

INDUSTRY Experience

By combining first-rate biomedical training with exposure to business curriculum in the DeGroote School of Business, we’ve created a training paradigm which provides tangible exposure to pharmaceutical, biotechnology and related industries.

DIVERSE Employment Opportunities

Graduates are well positioned to work within the pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors on discovery, preclinical and clinical research, business development, marketing and sales, and consulting.

VALUABLE Industry Collaboration

One of the key components to the BDC program is the tangible exposure to the community of biomedicine, pharmaceutical and biotech sectors through internships as well as lectures from key industry members.

There are very few programs in all of North America that train scientists to have an appreciation of business principles and to gain experience through internships and community interaction.

Throughout its development we’ve been witness to tremendous interest in the program not only from students but also from key players in the health science sector eager to participate and engage with our students.

Complementing our superior biomedical training, students explore the world of business as it relates to biomedical technologies with courses in marketing, accounting, and finance for entrepreneurs.
